My wife and partner in crime, Rachel, have been blessed to serve as Co-Lead Pastors of Refuge Richmond (since 2018), and Refuge Ladner (since 2022). I am passionate about creating spaces and walking alongside people where they discover the hope, grace, and joy found in Jesus. I wholeheartedly believe that Jesus has the ability to transform our communities here and now.

Rachel is one of our lead pastors. She and Chris, and their sons, Micah and Elijah, moved cross country in 2018 to come serve in Richmond, and we love the Pacific Northwest and what Jesus is doing in our churches and communities.

I’m grateful to serve at Refuge Church, and to be part of a community where God is moving. I’m especially passionate about hosting spaces for people to be transformed in God's presence. I oversee all things prayer and worship over both our locations.

DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP MINISTRY - LADNER
I’m Russell; I’ve loved Jesus since my late teens and have been involved in Worship Arts ever since. I have been leading in different capacities for over 17 years, and I am still learning and passionately being guided and led by the Holy Spirit! My heart is for all-encompassing worship that extends far beyond Sunday mornings, and building His Kingdom through fostering musicianship and excellence in everything we do.

Hi! I’m Isabella and I’m a 24 year old who’s in love with Jesus! I have years of kids/youth ministry experience and love watching kids and youth get to know the One who made them, loves them and has a beautiful purpose and calling on their lives! In my free time I love being outside, spending time with friends and going to the gym!

I’m Isabelle, and I have the joy of serving as the Director of Youth Ministries at Refuge Church Ladner! I’m passionate about prayer and about creating spaces where kids and youth can grow in their faith and learn to follow Jesus in real, everyday ways. Alongside ministry, I’m studying education at TWU, and I’m grateful for how God is using that to deepen my heart for teaching and mentoring. In my free time, I love backpacking with my husband Andrew, gardening, making coffee, finding the perfect hammock spot, and spending time with friends. I’m grateful to be part of this amazing community that is growing together in faith and love for Jesus!

I am a local Bible college student who loves Jesus more than I love sugar—and that’s saying something! I’m passionate about creating a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment where children can discover God’s love and grow in their relationship with Jesus. When I’m not studying or planning for Sunday, you’ll probably find me enjoying time with friends, indulging in something sweet, or soaking up God’s Word.

Hi! My name is Tyler, and I run Children's Ministry at Refuge Church's Ladner location. I have great passion for this community, and building into the next generation. I had the privilege and honour of growing under great leadership as a child. My goal in this role is to continue that legacy here at Refuge Church.

I was born and raised in Ladner. At age 18, I had an encounter with Jesus that changed the trajectory of my life. A decade in the trades and now married with one child (William), God has provided a new opportunity to pursue formal biblical education at ACTS Seminary and step into a larger role in the church. I’m passionate about building up the family unit and believe it starts in the home with strong marriages. My heart is to see our churches burst at the seems with young families. I’ve felt this call since I was 22 years old-LETS GOOO!

ASSISTANT WORSHIP DIRECTOR - RICHMOND
I’ve been serving in worship ministry since 2004, and it’s always been my heart to honor and glorify God through music. I truly believe that “worship is heaven’s strategy to unburden a troubled heart,” and my prayer is to help create space where people can encounter His presence. It’s a blessing to serve alongside such an encouraging team and church family, and I’m excited to see how God continues to move in this season.
