Even through all the times in my life where I’ve felt isolated, purposeless, and unworthy of love, the Lord has shown me that I have always been enough for Him and that I have always been loved. Although anxiety can never completely disappear, the Lord has placed a foundational reminder in my heart of knowing that I was never created to carry my burdens alone and that all things are possible through Him. This truth has carried me through, and because of it, I am proud to be baptized today!

Today I am getting baptized because for some reason – which I don’t fully understand – God loves me. There is literally nothing I can give to the father of creation that he needs. Except maybe my genuine gratitude and loyalty. So I guess for me, baptism is my small way of saying thank you to Jesus for willingly sacrificing himself so that not only might I experience the gift of life, but the gift of freedom as well.
